401k, IRA and Roth IRA Limits for 2018
The biggest change in retirement accounts for 2018 is a $500 increase in the amount you can put into a 401k. This raises the amount for all age groups, which is a huge plus.

While I’ll likely be building on my keystone habits, I’ve been trying to balance future goals and present happiness in my planning. When I was a kid, my dad (perhaps accidentally) stumbled on a way to grow my self-control. In addition to my $10 a week allowance which could be spent on whatever I wanted, he gave me $5 a week that I needed to save. This started when I was about 8 years old or so and continued until I went to college. Once I had $100 saved up in my dresser drawer, we went to the bank and opened a savings account for me.

There’s a complicated line between side projects and day to work jobs. The sentiment on outside endeavors differs drastically by industry, company size, location, revenue of the business – and most importantly coworkers. It’s no secret that I moved out to Salt Lake City. One of the reasons why was because of the company and an amazing team I get to work with out here.
